AI Growth Index / Methodology
How the Index is scored.
Version 1.0 · Updated October 2026 · KBhaus research team
The short answer
Each business gets a score out of 100: up to 60 points for AI visibility, 20 for booking ease and 20 for response speed. Every business is measured with the same questions, the same AI engines and the same test inquiry, in the same week.
How is the score made up?
| Component | What we check | Points |
|---|---|---|
| AI visibility | 30 answers: 10 client questions asked in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. 2 points when named as a top recommendation, 1 when mentioned. | 60 |
| Booking ease | Online booking available, steps to book a consult, prices or consult details shown, hours listed, works on a phone. 4 points each. | 20 |
| Response speed | Time to first reply to a standard website inquiry: within 1 hour 20, same business day 12, next business day 6, later or none 0. | 20 |
Which businesses are included?
The first edition covers about 50 medspas in Orange County, California, selected from businesses with an active Google Business Profile that list injectables or aesthetic treatments as a core service. Inclusion is not paid and doesn't depend on being a KBhaus client.
Which questions do you ask AI?
Ten questions modeled on how clients actually search, each tied to a city: best overall, best for a specific treatment, most trusted provider, most natural results, best reviewed, and similar. The same ten are asked for every business in a city, in fresh, logged-out sessions so earlier searches don't shape the answers.
How is response speed measured?
Through one standard, polite inquiry about a consultation, sent through each business's own website form during business hours. We record the time to the first human or automated reply that answers the inquiry.
What are the limits of the Index?
- AI answers change over time and by location, so each score is a snapshot of one week.
- The Index measures visibility and responsiveness, not the quality of care or results.
- No patient data is collected or used.
Can a business correct its listing?
Yes. Any business in the Index can request its full results or report an error by emailing kate@kbhausagency.com. Verified errors are corrected and noted.
